Abbie recently graduated from Newcastle University. She brings with her a magnitude of expertise regarding plastics and their effect on the ocean. She is also a prolific writer and assists Karl with his scientific papers.

Ellie is a genius with soils. She uses her knowledge to help assist our customers on laboratory tests and plays a key part in controlling the environment during our leather testing.

The installation of our laboratory marked a new era for Autenticae. As we funnelled our expertise and time into offering these tests globally. We have a fully equipped laboratory; run by a team who are dedicated to the testing of your leather.
March 1994 - 2017
SENIOR LECTURER
After completory of his Science degree with a major in Microbiology and zoology, Karl began a career of teaching others. From 1994 - 2016 he worked at the Rhodes University and The Leather Industry Research Institute before coming to England to teach Leather Science at the University of Northampton. He has also worked as a consultant with the Leather Working Group and taught the "Understanding Leather" course at the BLC Leather Technology Centre.

MASTERS IN LEATHER SCIENCE
Karl studied at Rhodes in South Africa before his career began at The Leather Industry Research Institute, Grahamstown. He quickly built on his expertise, allowing him to branch into many areas; in leather science and education.
